10 Best Pizza Places in Kansas City

I recently went to Grimaldi’s Pizzeria for their debut summertime menu. I experienced my love for pizza all over again, and started thinking about all the places in Kansas City you could get amazing cheesy goodness. Who knew we could get such delicious pizza right in our backyard? Enjoy my top ten list, and let me know your favorites too!

1. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria 

If you haven’t checked out their new summertime menu yet, it’s a must that you go! Known for their crispy and smoky thin crust pizzas, Grimaldi’s quickly made its way to the top of my list. The meatball pizza was my favorite, and tasted like I was in the heart of Brooklyn, New York.  Bonus: Their bruschetta was amazing!

2. Minsky’s Pizza 

Not surprisingly, Minsky’s has been voted Kansas City’s Best Pizza time and time again. It’s my go to for carryout, and always delicious. Their savory gourmet pizzas are full of flavor in every bite, and baked to bubbling perfection. You’re not a true KC native unless you love Minsky’s Pizza!

3. SPIN! Neopolitan Pizza

With a hip and fun atmosphere, SPIN! has so many selections, there’s something for everyone. You can even customize your own pizza with over 30 toppings to choose from! Pair it with a glass of wine and you’ll be in for a cheesy delight. Plus, enjoy their happy hour daily from 3-6pm!

4. Il Lazzarone Pizza

Il Lazzarone Pizza is best known for capturing the true Italian spirit. The family-owned pizzeria takes pride in their authentic recipes and fresh ingredients. The simplicity of the pizzas make for the perfect ratio of flavor. Stop by at Il Lazzarone’s to get a taste of Little Italy!

5. Waldo Pizza

6. Grinders Pizza

An eclectic experience in itself, Grinders quirky atmosphere is a must visit in the Crossroads. Once featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive In’s and Dives, there is no surprise Guy Fieri loved the signature Bengal Tiger Pizza, inspired by flavors of Northwest India.  Head over to Grinders to enjoy it yourself!

7. d’BRONX

Not only does it deliver personality and superior quality, d’BRONX is another Kansas City favorite with over 25 years of operation. The pizzas are handcrafted, and well worth the wait. Taste the difference at d’BRONX!

Cozy up at this Crossroads hidden gem and watch the chef as he carefully prepares your wood fired pizzas, all crafted with local ingredients. Get the best out of your buck and stop by during happy hour from 3-6pm Monday through Friday, and choose from half priced apps and select cocktails.

Everything done at Pizzeria Locale is delivered authentic as can be. Coined for being an authentic postcard from Southern Italy, there’s a pizza here for everyone. Try their Margherita pizza paired with a fresh salad. It can’t go wrong!
