11 Things That Will Surprise You About the 11 Cast Members of Celebrity Big Brother

With Celebrity Big Brother premiering in less than a couple of weeks, here are a couple of surprising facts about the cast. Almost half of the cast is in their 40s which is fairly different from the usual Big Brother cast age group. The list includes 5 people who have been on Dancing with the Stars as well as 4 who have been on Celebrity Apprentice. So I guess you could say most of the cast are not strangers to reality television.

1. Omarosa Manigault was the villain on Celebrity Apprentice and then briefly worked in the White House with president Trump but left “to pursue other opportunities.”

2. In addition to being a part of the band, Sugar Ray, Mark McGrath appeared on over 5 reality television shows in the past.

3. Although Shannon Elizabeth is most famous for being Nadia on American Pie, she also created a non-profit animal rescue organization called Animal Avengers.

4. Known for his outspoken nature on the basketball court, Metta World Peace participated in the “Malice at the Palace” brawl between fans and players in Detroit.

5. Brandi Glanville is a former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills and now a #1 New York Times Best Selling Author with her books Drinking and Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders and Drinking and Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance.

6. James Maslow was a part of the boy band and Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush and also has a YouTube channel in which he covers a multitude of pop songs.

7. Keshia Knight Pulliam was a child actress and played Rudy Huxtable in the famous 80s and 90s sitcom The Cosby Show.

8. Although she is most famous for the popular broadway musical Hairspray, Marissa Jaret Winokur also hosted a late-night cable tale show titled All About Sex.

9. Ariadna Gutiérrez is the youngest member of the celebrity BB house and was mistakenly crowned Miss Universe by Steve Harvey in 2015 when she really placed as 1st runner up.

10. Chuck Liddell is a retired mixed martial artist and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion that had over 23 fights in the UFC.

11. Ross Mathews was formerly known as “Ross the Intern” on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and is now known for being a host on the popular show RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Celebrity Big Brother premieres Feb. 7 on CBS and will conclude Feb. 25. Who else is going to tune in?
