3 Ways To Wear The Nautical Trend #LegendsStyle

This month was all about the Nautical look. I’m talking red, blue, anchors, stripes, etc.  I am really loving this trend.  It is very easy to pull off and gives you a sophisticated fashionable look.

For my first look I paired a casual white top with striped red and white shorts.  This is one of my very favorite looks.  Pairing fun shorts with a tucked in tee.  It’s an effortlessly classy look.   I added brown wedges and over sized bag (perfect for a day at the beach).  You could also dress this down with a pair of brown flip flops.  Check out these great nautical themed accessories, too.  The anchor bracelet was absolutely adorable.  If you don’t have a sun hat or aviators, they are both a must for summer months.

For my second nautical inspired look I found the cutest rope pants from J.Crew | crewcuts. For  this look, I wanted to mix up the red, white and blue theme with a pop of color.  Yellow was the perfect addition.  I added a hint of yellow in the necklace and oversized bag, then topped it off with a bright yellow belt.  This is the perfect nautical look for those of you who aren’t afraid to wear prints.  Trust me it can be done and you’ll feel pretty great about your outfit when you give it a try.

My third look was inspired by the very popular maxi dress.  For this look I took a simple red maxi and layered it with an anchor printed sweater.  This is the perfect idea for those of you who may be looking for a day to night outfit.  With the ever changing weather here in Missouri it can quickly change from hot to cold.  This is a great trend to test out for those cooler summer nights.  Simply add the nautical themed sweater over your dress and you are good to go.  I even tied it up a little just to add some more style.
