4 Things We Learned from the Incredibles 2 Teaser Trailer

Disney released the Incredibles 2 teaser trailer, so here’s what we learned about the newest Disney and Pixar collaboration.

1. Jack-Jack is still a baby

The teaser trailer shows baby Jack-Jack, the youngest Parr, toddling his way around a red background. This means that very little time, if any, has passed between The Incredibles and Incredibles 2. The first movie premiered in 2004, so it’s been over a decade since we’ve seen the Parr family in action.

2. Jack-Jack’s powers are still the same

Jack-Jack could burst into flame, turn into a little devil, and had laser vision in The Incredibles and the Pixar short film Jack-Jack Attack. It’s safe to say that nothing’s changed here. It’ll be interesting to see how the Parr family handles a tyke with so many abilities.

3. The original cast returns

Mr. Incredible is a proud papa in the trailer. He exclaims that his son has powers, and it’s clear that Craig T. Nelson is back for this sequel. Also reprising their roles are Holly Hunter returns as Elastigirl Helen Parr, Sarah Vowell as Violet Parr, and Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone. This movie is said to have Helen being Elastigirl full time while Mr. Incredible plays stay-at-home dad. Fun and drama will ensue, and it’ll be up to the family to stop another evil villain before it’s too late.

4. The release date is incredibly soon

Incredibles 2 is set for release summer 2018–more specifically, June 15, 2018. That’s incredibly soon. It seems like just yesterday we got the news that there would be a sequel. Incredibles 2 comes during a busy year in theaters for Disney. With a line up of Aladdin, Avengers: Infinity War, A Wrinkle in Time, and Solo: A Star Wars Story, Incredibles 2 will be, well, incredible!
