1. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith
The author of Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies brings you a dark thrilling twist on a famous historical figure. Honest Abe as a vampire hunter? Heck yes. 2. Anthropology of an American Girl by Hilary Thayer Hamann
This is a coming-of-age novel that follows the life of a 17-year-old girl in the 1980s who falls in and out of love and all of the life lessons she learns along the way. It is a 600-page book, but it is well worth it!
3. Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
There must be a very good reason for why this book has been the hottest summer read. It is a passionate, sexy love story between a demure woman and a mysterious entrepreneur. Find out what all the buzz is by picking up the first installment of the trilogy!
4. Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
Game of Thrones is one of the most brilliant television series to hit the sci-fi scene. People of all tastes have been drawn to this gritty, thrilling, and action-packed fantasy world. The books are what inspired the HBO hit, so if you are a super fan try reading the first book. You can really get the know the characters in depth, and if you are looking for more then there are 4 other books in the series (and counting)!
5. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
CLASSIC! This book never gets old. For some reason this universally loved American novel is best read surrounded by sunshine and good spirits. The movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, and Carey Mulligan is set to be released January 2013. Check out the trailer below:
