6 Reasons Why You Should Go to The Tasty Expo Kansas City

by Ceanna Chapman

One of Kansas City’s largest food and drink expos is premiering this weekend and it’s an event you won’t want to miss! The Tasty Expo Kansas City will have over 150 food and beverage companies. If you aren’t sure about attending, I have 5 stellar reasons why you should buy a ticket and head on over to The Tasty Expo Kansas City:

150 Food and Beverage Companies

Yes, I said this already but I thought it needed reiterating. You pay $20 for a ticket and then you are able to walk around and try out hundreds of food products, innovative beverages and learn new food trends. The companies and businesses at the expo have been hand-selected to showcase their skills, so you won’t be disappointed. If you aren’t convinced yet, Deep Eddy Vodka, Goose Island Beer Co, Omaha Steaks, Shatto Milk Company and several other companies will be there! Definitely come hungry!

Variety

This isn’t your basic wine or Barbecue festival. This is your premier Tasty Expo Kansas City. If you want variety, this is the way to get variety. With over 150 different companies and businesses providing food and drinks, you can’t even imagine the types of samples you will get to try! The food ranges from sweets, gluten-free foods, Barbecue (of course for us Kansas Citians), charcuterie boards and everything in between.  The drinks include, but not limited to, craft sodas, wines, Kombucha, juice and many, many more. There is something for everyone at this expo. Grab your friends, your parents, your grandparents and your kids! Everyone will love The Tasty Expo.

Premiere Event for Kansas City

The Tasty Expo is premiering in Kansas City for the first time! Kansas City is lucky to have The Tasty Expo this weekend. They chose Kansas City because we are a town full of foodies, go team. Since this will be the first year it takes place in Kansas City, it is sure to be the best. The Tasty Expo is enthused with Kansas City’s rich history and Barbeque culture and wanted to be a part of our awesome city. Also, it will be cool to say you were at our first expo years down the road!

Food and Drink Demonstrations

If you have ever wanted to learn how to make certain burgers or cocktails, now is your chance. On the food stages and drink stages, you will have the opportunity to see chefs and mixologists curate some of their most popular items! For example, you will get to see the Omaha Steak Company: Dinner solved in 15 Minutes or Less! You will also have the opportunity to finally learn and understand what Kombucha is and how it is made! The Tasty Expo presents all of these great experiences both, Friday and Saturday!

Live Entertainment

While you are walking around and enjoying the taste testing, there will be live music from Drew Six. Drew Six is a fantastic country rocker. He is also well-known for his acoustic sessions. His tunes will be a great accompaniment while you are filling your stomachs and learning from the pros. Feel free to sit, listen and enjoy the music while your stomach makes more room for samples!

Fun For the Whole Family

As if the samples and music weren’t enough, The Tasty Expo is also providing fun yard games. I don’t want to spoil what they are, but who doesn’t love a good yard game? Bring your pals, or your family, and play against each other for some fun! When you aren’t playing yard games or listening to music, there is a Bake-Off that will be super intense. Pick your favorite chef and gear up to see who wins! There is enough variety of food and drinks that everyone will enjoy their time spent at The Tasty Expo.

The Tasty Expo is an event that will be one for the books. What more could you want than 150 food and drink vendors all under one roof? Fill your weekend with fun, food and friends at The Tasty Expo Kansas City.
