Reality television has been taking over the TV’s in people’s homes all over the world. Many of us get attached to the reality stars and it’s sad to watch their shows disappear. While many stars vanish along with their shows, these five ladies of reality TV found further success thanks to their 15 minutes of fame.
The “nice girl” of Orange County is a personal favorite of mine. The former beach queen found fame on her hit MTV show Laguna Beach . After three season’s, she took her turn at her own spin off show, The Hills. We watched as she gracefully made her way through school, relationships, and interning at Teen Vogue, looking amazingly fashionable every step of the way. Following her time as MTV’s reality queen, Conrad continued on by creating her own empire. A published author with eight books, Conrad also is dabbling in the fashion world with a line for Kohls, as well as her own personal lines Paper Crown and The Little Market. Conrad’s fans can follow her life now on her stylish Instagram account and website as this LA beauty has retired from her MTV days. Conrad really has shown us that being nice and passionate can get you far in life.
Viewers were shocked watching Jennifer Hudson being eliminated from American Idol’s third season, but she went on to big-screen glory. Following her time on the island, Filarski began hosting Style Network’s fashion-on-a-budget makeover show, The Look for Less. The following year, Elisabeth married college sweetheart Tim Hasselbeck. But it was in 2003, when she went on the host The View that Hasselbeck finally gained that successful fame. Now she can be seen voicing her conservative opinions along with her liberal fellow hosts on the ABC hit show.
How is Kendall on the list when her sisters aren’t? Yes, the Kardashian’s as a group have really prevailed thanks to their TV shows. But it’s Miss Kendall who is really making a talented name for herself in the press these days. Jenner created a career as a high fashion model and is taking over the catwalks, walking for fashion designers from Marc Jacobs to Chanel. Now this 19-year-old beauty is the face of Estee Lauder and continuing to book modeling campaigns that are plastering her face all over magazines and billboards. It’s only the beginning for this hardworking young woman who started off as Kim Kardashian’s cute kid sister eight years ago.
