6 Reasons to Get Bangs this Summer

by Sarah Scoop

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to change up your hairstyle this summer, give bangs a try. They’re inexpensive to maintain and they’re not nearly as risky as getting a pixie cut, bob, or trying a new hair color. If you’re still unsure, here are 7 reasons you should get bangs this summer.

1. Long hair or short hair

Long, short, or somewhere in between, bangs and a few layers can be a cute and fun addition to your style. Plus bangs look good with straight and curly hair. The possibilities are endless!

2. Sweep to the side

If there are days that you’re just not feeling the bangs or you’re looking for a dramatic side sweep, you can easily part your hair to the side. If it’s a windy day or your bangs won’t stay in place, you can also twist them into a rope braid to get them out of the way.

3. Make a simple ponytail look cute

Bangs are perfect for those ponytail days where you sleep in late and don’t have time for anything else. Just throw your hair up into a ponytail or top knot, use your straightening iron to add some body to your bangs, and head out the door.

4. Cover those pesky zits

Zits have a habit of popping up with they are most unwelcome. Fortunately, bangs provide the perfect cover for any ugly, red spots on your forehead.

5. Zooey Deschanel

Look no further for inspiration than Zooey Deschanel’s bangs which are both cute and sexy.

6. Grow out easily

If you decide that bangs just aren’t the right style for you, don’t worry. They grow out quickly and easily and you get to enjoy the many stages of side bangs, allowing you to try new hairstyles.

While the initial choice to get your bangs cut may be scary, the versatility and playfulness of bangs will be worth it. Shake it up this summer by giving bangs a chance!

In fact, it’s a good tip – Sweep to the side. I always forget about it … Now I have a short haircut, which I grow. Sometimes this allows you to look stylishly, until the hair has not grown))
