7UP Berry Cube Drink Recipe + Your Chance to Win $1000 to HyVee

Entertaining is something I’ve always enjoyed. It’s something I’ve done since I could talk. My love of entertaining began with tea parties and a guest list that included all of my dolls and stuffed animals (and occasionally an unwilling brother.) Eventually this blossomed into my parties that my family politely attended and toasted with soda filled champagne flutes. The joy and satisfaction of planning a successful party never really left.
Whether it’s a dinner party or a girl’s night in, there’s just something about having people over and spending time with friends which helps to rejuvenate me. I enjoy the entire process: the planning of a menu, decorating, coming up with fun drinks. It’s cathartic. It’s a hobby that allows me to be creative and allows me to create memories with the ones I love most.
I recently hosted a party where a friend of mine suggested we freeze my bottle of 7UP in an ice tray and add them to our drinks. I was reluctant at first, but it was simply an amazing idea! As the cubes melted, our drinks didn’t taste watered down, but were enhanced by the refreshing lemon-lime flavor. For a Pinterest worthy cocktail, add fruit garnishes inside the cubes.
Here’s a super simple cocktail recipe to try at home tonight with your 7UP blackberry fruit cubes:
Vodka Cranberry 7 UP Berry Cube Drink
This classic cocktail tasted great with the 7UP cubes we used and is perfect for this time of year. Cranberry flavored everything is great for the winter season. Garnish with a few limes for a pop of color and you have yourself a refreshing cocktail.
Shopping List (all ingredients can be found at your local Hy-Vee®)
- 4 oz. of cranberry Juice
- 2 oz. of vodka
- 1 pack of 7UP cans
- Fresh blackberries
Prep
- Place 1 fresh blackberry in each individual cube. Then take your can of 7UP and fill the ice tray all the way up with it. Freeze overnight.
- Pour 2 oz vodka into a glass.
- Pour 4 oz cranberry juice over vodka and stir gently.
- Splash 7UP over cocktail
- Serve over 7UP fruit cubes.
I love the bubbles that the carbonation from the 7UP creates in the cocktail. As the cubes melt, the flavor of the drink is enhanced by its sweet lemon lime taste and we are left with a pretty cranberry garnish to complement the mint.

I especially enjoyed the 7UP flavor with this recipe because the sweet, slightly bitter flavor of the cranberry juice was complemented by the light crisp taste of 7UP.
