Accessorize Your Summer Dresses For Fall
Attention ladies: Don’t retire your summer dresses just yet! Why? When paired with stocking and a scarf, you can still wear them! Now isn’t that something to smile about?
I absolutely love dresses and am willing to do anything to wear them year-round. So during the fall and winter months, I always pair my summer dresses with dark-colored scarves. This way, my floral and light-colored dresses don’t scream “summer!”
I promise you that any dress, no matter how summer-y it may seem, can be transformed into a fall outfit– you just have to accessorize appropriately with a scarf. As you can see in the picture above, even a lace white dress can look like fall when paired with a dark-colored maroon scarf. The trick is to just pick a color and pattern that matches your dress… But that doesn’t mean you should shy away from mixing prints! Just look at the dress in the center that is paired with a leopard scarf. It may be a surprising combination, but it works because the colors compliment one another. If you’re too scared to mix patterns, just try out a combination and then ask for the approval of a friend. Just make sure you ask an honest friend that isn’t scared to share her true opinion!
If the weather is extremely cold outside, try wearing your dress with a leather bomber jacket or a long-sleeved thermal tee underneath. Stay clear from a jean jacket, as your outfit will be overloaded with summer!
Leave me a comment and let me know how you wear your summer dresses during the fall season! Also, let me know if you have any questions about what stores the scarves and dresses are from! All of them are a pretty good bargain for those who are on a tight budget!
