Achieving Acne Free Skin

It can be challenging to get that clear, soft, smooth skin you often see celebrities sporting. Just how do they achieve that fresh, blemish-free look? Here are some tips:

  • Wash your face. A simple water wash twice a day can help reduce the build-up of sweat and germs on the surface of your skin.
  • Use toners. Toners can reduce the likelihood of acne breakouts. Although this is just a preventive measure, it can help you avoid a problem later on.
  • Use acne cleansers. There are a slew of different acne cleansers on the market. Try different types (washes, scrubs, gels & creams) to figure which one works best for your skin and the severity of your acne problem.
  • Try rubbing alcohol. For severe breakouts which are unresponsive to other basic treatments, try using rubbing alcohol to dry out the affected areas. Rubbing alcohol will not completely solve your problem as it strips away the skin’s natural oil but it can help in short term acne spot reduction.
