I have a confession to make. I’m obsessed with kitchen’s gadgets like this avocado slicer. The weirder they are, the more excited I am. Isn’t there something almost magical in seeing how products cut, peel or slice open a fruit or a vegetable?
I ordered this avocado slicer and I couldn’t wait to try it out and see how it works. 🙂
You see the avocado slicer divided in three parts. The knife, which looks like a wing, the seed remover, which looks like a funnel with a big and a small opening, and the slicer, which looks like a net with only vertical lines.
Get the avocado in your hand, and starting from the top, use the knife to cut through it in circular motion so that the avocado is sliced in two vertical halves.
Use the seed removal to remove the seed. In one hand keep the avocado half with the seed and with the other hand use the big opening of the seed remover, and attach it to the seed. Twist it a little bit and the seed comes out. Poke a finger through the small opening of the seed remover to make the seed drop on the side.
As the last step, get a half of avocado in your hand, and with the other hand use the slicer to gently dip into the avocado. Et Voilà! Your avocado slices are ready.
