How to have the Best Super Bowl Party!

Super Bowl XLIX is just around the corner and now is the time to plan for your best party!!  Even if you aren’t a Patriots or Seahawks Fan, you can still plan a FUN party and let’s face it, it’s a good reason to have one!  Friends, Family, Food and Good Times!  What’s not to love!

First off, start with a themed display; I like using green tablecloths for the “football field.” Team colored cups, silverware, plates, napkins are also a good idea!  Football themed platters for arranging food are perfect too!  Make a menu for your guests so when they arrive, they know exactly what they have to choose from.  Use little individual chalk board signs for a cute display!

When I think of football, I think of easy appetizers, finger foods, dips, chips, and of course one must have dessert!  Make beef sliders, chicken on a stick, bbq meatballs, or bacon wrapped shrimp; foods most all people love!  Hummus with assorted chopped veggies for those who want to eat a bit more healthy or make fruit kabobs, veggie kabobs or string mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, and olives together!  Bite-size goodness! Buffalo chicken dip is always a huge WIN for my parties; pair it with pita chips, tortilla chips, or even crackers.

Brownies make a good, quick, easy to eat dessert and how cute to make them into football shapes!  Use football themed cupcakes liners and toppers for the kids..and adults, I mean, who doesn’t love cupcakes!!  For beverages, turn your sink into an ice bucket or find colorful plastic team colored totes to hold your beer, soda, or water!  I think candy is always  a good munchie to have on hand to; team colored m&m’s are a must!!  You can buy individual colored m&m’s at most party stores too!

Make it the best party yet!!

Hello! I was born and raised in a small Kansas town but have always loved the city and all that it has to offer! I love to travel, I love fashion, and I love to eat…and write about it! My small town life growing up has definitely shaped who I am today and as I grow older, I am starting to appreciate that more and more. When I am not writing or at my day job, I am most likely baking, running, spending time at the local farmers market, or hitting up a good happy hour! I am currently in Nursing school and will graduate in 2017, I love helping people!! I am obsessed with taking pictures that aren’t conventional and sharing them with the world. My family and friends mean the world to me and I cherish each second I spend with them. I currently have my own blog titled “Dirt Roads ~ High Heels”
