The act of brunching has only grown in popularity and if you’re a Kansas City local or visiting we’ve got the scoop on 11 brunches you must try in Kansas City!

Located in the heart of Westport Beer Kitchen offers not only a great selection of beers, but their food is amazing.  My personal favorite is the avocado grilled cheese.  According to their facebook, “If your legs weaken at the thought of drinking a deliciously crisp & spicy Saison from Belgium, then BEER KITCHEN is the place for you.”  Trust us, this one is a must stop. Oh, and check out their special weekend brunch menu.

eggtc.

eggtc. is the perfect venue to get your weekday started. They might also mention eggtc. as a comfortable spot for a weekend rendezvous, or maybe recommend eggtc. as a cozy place for a lingering Sunday brunch. We agree: yes, yes, and yes!  The friendly eggtc. staff takes pride in preparing and serving you the finest and freshest gourmet breakfasts and delicious lunches that are sure to please any palate. Enjoy omelets, crepes, pancakes and waffles. Quiche made to order, homemade yogurt and granola. Also delicious pastries and fresh fruit cut daily.

Grandfalloon

608 Ward Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64112 | website

At this spacious sports bar, every seat is the best seat in the house. With over 50 different burgers and wing options, 40 craft beers, and Happy Hour specials every night of the week, you know you can’t go wrong at Granfalloon.  Stop in and enjoy a plate (please someone try the bacon wrapped shrimp and let us know how it is), a cold beer, and brunch with friends.

Gram & Dun

600 Ward Parkway, Kansas City MO 64112 | website

As Gram & Dun says, they have revived the patio scene! What’s better than brunch on the patio? Check out the “place for the people” where you can take in the neighborhood of the Country Club Plaza and relax at KC’s best patio. Served Saturdays & Sundays from 10 am to 3:30 pm, they have a special menu just for the brunchers out there.

Julep Cocktail Club

4141 Pennsylvania Ave #104, Kansas City, MO 64111 | website

With entrees like their Waffle Nachos or their Pork Belly with a side of Cheesy Corn Polenta, this quaint cocktail lounge is already hard to resist on a Sunday morning. Now factor in unlimited mimosas for just $10 with the purchase on any entrée and try refraining from Julep’s. Considering their most expensive menu item is $16, you won’t leave spending more than $26.00!

Louie’s Wine Dive

7100 Wornall Rd. , Kansas City MO 64114 | website

Though the mimosas do have a bottom, it’s pretty deep. For $12 you receive a large carafe (will serve about 6 drinks) with the purchase of any entree and the food is simply amazing. I’ve gone back several times since discovering Louie’s Wine Dive and still can’t decide between their Riesling Apple French Toast, Fresh Veggie (or salmon) Eggs Benedict, Fried Egg Sandwich, or Breakfast Tacos. Too many delicious options!

Summit Grill

520 W. 75th St., Kansas City, MO 64114 | website

There are two things many can’t resist when it comes to food: heat (of the spicy variety) and carbs! With that being said, you won’t be able to resist the Jalapeño Grits and bottomless mimosas for just 9.95. Together the meal cost under 25.00.

The Corner Restaurant

4059 Broadway Kansas City, Missouri 64111 | website

The Corner Restaurant has a history as a neighborhood staple, where breakfast, brunch and lunch are offered 7 days a week in the diverse Westport area of Kansas City, Missouri. Building on an already rich history, The Corner restaurant has a very strong menu of Americana – home-style cooking, rich with flavor. They have one of the best brunches in the area.

The Farmhouse

300 Delaware Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64105 | website

The Farmhouse features seasonal and classically creative comfort foods of all types. “Farm-to-table” means that they work with local farmers from Kansas and Missouri, making them the base for their food and drink ingredients, keeping them in business all year long, reducing our carbon footprint, and making sure that you get the freshest ingredients on your plate!  Picking their organic, non-GMO crops at dawn, delivering them to the Farmhouse early in the day, their farmers enable the menu to remain seasonal, always fresh, and creative. Talk about delicious.

The Point

917 W 44th St Kansas City, MO 64111 | website

Bottomless Mimosas, Bromosas (OJ & Beer), Bloody Mary’s, and Red Beer with the purchase of any entrée will only leave with a tab of $11.00! While the brunch menu is smaller than most of the other places listed in this post, its full of tasty treats. Everything felt decadent and was absolutely delicious!

Brunch is a bonding experience. It’s an activity shared with friends to unwind before the start of another hectic week. These are great options whether you’re looking for an excuse to day drink or just get together with friends and family.
