DIY Colored Bobby Pins

Hair accessories have been very popular on the runways recently from the amazing star hair pins at Rodarte to Tory Burch’s sweet headbands.  The addition of a simple accessory can take your look to the next level.  Lately, we here at SarahScoop are especially loving the barrette trend.  These diy colored bobby pins are the perfect way to spice up your look.  With a splash of color or dash of sparkle it is a simple statement look that can pep up any outfit (without looking like you’re ten years old).

Pictured above are models fresh off of Cacharel’s fall 2012 runway sporting multiple barrettes in fun colors to hold side-partings in place.  Here is a quick and fun way to make some yourself in any color you desire!

This is a very easy project, there’s not much to it, and best of all it’s inexpensive.  To get Cacharel’s ’20s inspired chic meets girly fun look create a low bun with a deep side-part to one side  and fasten it with four or five of your colorful pins.  These diy colored bobby pins are super cute.

It’s all about getting creative with barrettes and bobby pins for a fun and very cute look that adds a pop of color to these bleak months of winter.

Will you be trying this?!
