Falafel Salad Bowl.

To make this recipe fast and easy, we’ll use pre-packaged falafel that you can find in the kosher section at your local grocery store. It tastes just the same and saves you time washing that stubborn blender.

  • 1 packet falafel mix (Knorr)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 cup couscous
  • 1 can pesto (Prego)
  • 1/2 cup french fries
  • 3 tbsp artichoke hummus (Sabra)
  1. Add the falafel mixture with one cup of water in a bowl.

  2. Chop the cilantro and add it to the mixture along with the olive oil.

  3. Mix well and wait ten minutes.

  4. Turn on the stove on medium and add oil.

  5. Fill a pot with water on medium heat and wait for it to boil.

  6. Turn on the oven to 400 and bake the fries.

  7. Once the stove is hot enough, take the falafel and mold them into balls. I like to pinch them and make them slightly flat so they cook faster.

  8. Cook the falafel for 2 minutes on each side and remove.

  9. Place the couscous in the pot for ten minutes. Remove excess water once it is cooked.

  10. Add the pesto to the couscous and mix well.

  11. Take the couscous and plate it. Add the falafel, fries, and hummus. Enjoy!
