Falafel Salad Bowl.
To make this recipe fast and easy, we’ll use pre-packaged falafel that you can find in the kosher section at your local grocery store. It tastes just the same and saves you time washing that stubborn blender.
- 1 packet falafel mix (Knorr)
- 2 cups water
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 cup couscous
- 1 can pesto (Prego)
- 1/2 cup french fries
- 3 tbsp artichoke hummus (Sabra)
-
Add the falafel mixture with one cup of water in a bowl.
-
Chop the cilantro and add it to the mixture along with the olive oil.
-
Mix well and wait ten minutes.
-
Turn on the stove on medium and add oil.
-
Fill a pot with water on medium heat and wait for it to boil.
-
Turn on the oven to 400 and bake the fries.
-
Once the stove is hot enough, take the falafel and mold them into balls. I like to pinch them and make them slightly flat so they cook faster.
-
Cook the falafel for 2 minutes on each side and remove.
-
Place the couscous in the pot for ten minutes. Remove excess water once it is cooked.
-
Add the pesto to the couscous and mix well.
-
Take the couscous and plate it. Add the falafel, fries, and hummus. Enjoy!
