GIVEAWAY! Win Two Free Books by Karina Yan Glaser

by Veronica Vivona

Karina Yan Glaser’s new novel, The Vanderbeekers and the Hidden Garden will be released to the general public on September 25th! The novel is the sequel to her first novel, The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street.

These middle grade novels follow the five Vanderbeeker children, all of different ages. In the first novel, the kids have to deal with the impending doom of being displaced from their home due to a mean landlord. The second novel changes course a bit. It follows the siblings as they work together to build a garden for their sick family friend.

We were lucky enough to review The Vanderbeekers and the Hidden Garden. Here’s an excerpt from our review:

“Karina Yan Glaser’s second novel, The Vanderbeekers and the Hidden Garden, is a novel filled with beautifully written characters, heart-wrenching moments, and a conscious understanding of showing readers the importance of empathy. This novel has anything you would ever want from a middle-grade novel and for that, I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.”

We were also previously able to interview the author herself! We learned about why Karina Yan Glaser writes for kids, her rescue animals, and what she has going on for her next.

Lucky for all of you scoopers, we are giving away both copies of Karina’s novels as a package deal! This is a great giveaway for anyone who has kids in their lives. However, we also featured Karina’s first novel, The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street, in our list of “12 Middle Grade Novels That Any Adult Will Enjoy.” Therefore, it’s honestly a wonderful giveaway for just about anyone!
