When you are busy, it may seem like you don’t even have enough time to sleep, let alone eat healthy but there are ways to do it that don’t have to be difficult. In fact it’s the easiest thing in the world. Grab some good food and nibble on it. However, in reality, sourcing the food and preparing it to make it tasty for you is going to take a little bit of time and also a routine. So what is the quickest way to start? Well, it’s important that you have all the best nutritious foods and make the choice to incorporate these instead of eating things that are ‘easy’. Eat more vegetables.

You really don’t need studies to tell you that vegetables are healthy, but just in case you need some more information, you can find from research that they are great for all areas of your health. Seven or more servings of vegetables a day significantly reduces your risk of cancer, heart disease, and stroke because they are loaded with disease- and age- fighting antioxidants and great fiber. This will assist your gut and prevent any types of harmful bacteria. The ways in which you could incorporate them more is to start snacking on raw veg and fruits, such as grapes, carrots, celery and apples. Fruit and veg also have high water volume, which aids in hydration and will help keep you feeling full. This is important if you are trying to lose weight. Try it, the more water in your stomach, the less likely you want to eat. Don’t forget to eat, however, this is very damaging. Grab some slices of pear, an orange or some cucumber. Choose whole foods.

By eating whole foods, you’re automatically adding more fiber. You could choose to add things such as whole grain rice and pasta to your diet which is great. You may want to look at some high quality proteins too, which will be great. Fish, chicken and tofu are brilliant. Eggs can be great too. A great snack is crushed avocado on toast with a poached egg. Add a little salt and pepper and you’re good to go. Make sure you’re staying hydrated throughout also. 

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be tricky, it can be simple! It just takes a little information and time to prepare your veggies. You can eat fruit and veg in abundance and they are full of vitamins and healthy sugars which will naturally give you energy.
