Attention my fabulous fashionistas. As most of my readers know I love working with new and emerging designers. (Established ones are great, too:)). Recently, Krystal Cox, the designer behind Jemina Hart sent me an item from her collection to review and giveaway. She sent me an open heart python top from her love lock down fall 2012 collection. This isn’t the type of shirt I would typically purchase, but I thought it was fun and I like stepping out of my comfort zone every now and then. The material with this shirt and super cute and I can tell Krystal really worked hard to make a great product. I love successful stories about designers. The idea behind Jemina Heart truly follows Krystal’s passion and I loved learning about her and her brand. Krystal is truly a fabulous designer. Read below for more information about Krystal and Jemina Heart.
Jemina Heart is a women clothing brand that’s all about being young and exhilarated, yet having a hint of sophistication.
Our goal is to make each woman interested in Jemina Heart become a Jem. A Jem is a woman who wants to “Be an Individual NOT a Replica.”
Jemina Heart was founded by Trinidadian born, Brooklyn raised Krystal M. Cox and she is the sole designer of the company. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing at Brooklyn College and attended Fashion Institute of Technology for a few fashion industry classes. Krystal always knew she wanted to be a fashion designer. In 2007, she became encouraged to create clothes for herself and her friends. Krystal is inspired to make clothes that represent a sexy and sophisticated style. After receiving several referrals, she decided to start her own company. On December 26, 2009, the idea of Jemina Heart became a reality and Krystal decided to name her company after her grandmother, Jemina.
