PANTONE Color of 2015 | Marsala
“Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth.”

Who wouldn’t love Pantone Color of the Year 2015 – Marsala after hearing that description? I have to say that my first reaction was a bit surprised after the bright colors of the last few years, but I love this beautiful wine shade. Marsala is a very sophisticated color that will bode well with beauty, fashion, and home decor.
BEAUTY: Sephora makes it easy to pick out your favorite ways to wear Marsala with their SEPHORA + PANTONE UNIVERSE collections. It is a great neutral tone and will definitely be a go to for cheeks, nails and lips! But don’t shy away from Marsala on the eyes – pair it with your favorite browns and golds for a new take on your everyday eye looks.
FASHION: Marsala was all over the runways for Spring 2015! Marsala is a softer mauve with a nod to oxblood, who had it’s moment the last couple fall seasons. I think this color will pair nicely with floral patterns in the Spring, make for sassy summer dresses, cute skinny cords in the fall and thick, warm sweaters in the winter.
HOME DECOR: You can never go wrong adding a pop of Marsala to your home. Check out the color pairings to see how the shade will match with your favorite home decor. I have a teal accent wall in my living room and can’t wait to add some fabulous new pillows to our couch – like this one or this one.
