Bathing suit season worries many females because we all want to rock that gorgeous bikini, monokini, etc. to its fullest. All we want to do is to be able to run down the beach in our sexy bathing suits, be carefree and not have to worry about what people think of how we look in our suits. Recently on Bethenny Frankel’s new talk show, Bethenny, she invited her stylist, Jenn Pinkston, to help women disguise their “bikini anxiety”. Pinkston discussed different bathing suit options women could wear to hide those areas of concern that make them feel self-conscious. She helped one woman, who recently had a baby, cover her midsection while the bathing suit still gave her sex appeal. It was a black, crochet material connecting the top and bottom to create the one piece suit. The suit is very edgy, on trend and it will look good on any woman. Some key advice she gave was a cover up doesn’t have to be the usual boho-chic dress we’re so accustomed to. Especially nowadays with celebrities who strut the beach in sarongs, skirts and more recently jumpsuits. Other options are lace pants, rompers and maxi dresses. However, the biggest way to face bikini anxiety is carrying yourself with confidence; both Frankel and Pinkston agreed on this. “Accentuate the positives, not focus on the negatives in everything in life,” says Frankel who uses this as a mantra for life. Always remember there are tricks to disguise what you don’t like; however, confidence will always be your best friend in the summer.
