Samoan Dessert: Pani Popo (Coconut Rolls) Recipe
Aloha! This is a fun and incredibly easy recipe from Hawaii. Super ono — that’s Hawaiian for “delish”!!
– Coconut Milk
– Coconut Syrup
In a pot, mix 2 cups coconut milk, .0.5 cup coconut syrup (you can tweak this based on how many servings you want). Put on low heat and stir occasionally for 10 min.
Grab 8 sweet bread rolls, cut each in half.
Place in a 9-by-13 inch pan and drizzle (or in my case, drown) mixed coconut milk and syrup onto the bread. Place in oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Aloha, and enjoy!!
