You won’t have burned that many calories when working out, after all, although it certainly feels like it afterwards.

Try to focus on eating less instead of over complicating it by thinking that you need to sweat it out at the gym as well. Eating slower and appreciating your food is a big part of this as the food you’re eating has time to settle by the time you’ve reached the end of your plate – and you won’t feel like you need a second portion in order to feel full.

Look at the time before you sit down to eat dinner and try to spend at least 20 minutes on eating. Make sure that you’re working on eating slower, though, and not spending 20 minutes at the table simply because you’re eating more.

While portion control and eating slower will help you out a lot in terms of feeling fuller, you can always make it even easier on you by finding the types of foods that fills you up without all of those calories. Foods that are high in water will do this for you, first of all, but you should also focus on eating enough protein.

Fruits, vegetables, and lean protein should be your main focus, in other words, but try to mix it up a bit so that you don’t get bored with what you’re eating. Learn to use spices in order to cook up exciting food, perfect different dishes, and eat yourself to a slimmer body by choosing the right types of food.
