Stylish Buns for Everyone

So, you want to take your late-for-class hair and turn it into something super cute? We’ve got you covered. There are some simple ways to take messy buns and turn it into stylish buns that can be worn to class when you have enough time to do your hair or for when you’re looking for a new hairstyle for an evening out! Although these buns may look intimidating, they are easy to create.

There’s the simple top-knot bun, which is a polished alternative to a messy bun. Just slick back your hair into a high pony tail (making sure to hairspray any flyaways), tease strands of the ponytail, and wrap it around to shape it into a bun. Use bobby-pins to secure the pieces together! If that’s too difficult to do, cut the toe off of a sock and roll it into a donut shape. Then, roll the sock down your ponytail so your hair forms a bun around it. Super cute and super easy!

If you want to spice up your top-knot, try doing a braided bun! Start out as if you’re doing a regular top-knot, but braid your hair in the ponytail. Wrap your braid around the ponytail holder to create a bun shape! It looks like you put a lot of effort into your bun when in reality it is such an effortless look.

Lastly, you can go for a fancier bun called a chignon bun. These types of buns are great for formal events because they look elegant and shape your face in a pretty way. To achieve this bun, pin your hair into a knot or bun shape at the nape of your neck or back of your hair. Leave a few strands out to frame your face and curl them to add some flavor to the look.

Are you going to try any of these buns the next time you have somewhere important to go? Let us know how they work for you!
