Meet Madison Lintz, a 17-year-old up & coming actress. You may recognize her from The Walking Dead and now hit Amazon series, Bosch! She may be an actress, but she’s just like any other teenager too–being a hostess at a restaurant, a MAJOR One Direction fan, and even taking up new hobbies here and there, like the violin! To get the whole scoop on Madison Lintz check out our Q&A together here:

Where did you grow up?

Alpharetta, Georgia

What was your childhood like?

I played outside a lot with my neighbors, who I have known my whole life and are still my best friends to this day. I also acted during my childhood, and I went to an amazing hybrid (half-home schooling) school that allowed me to do it.

Has acting always been something you wanted to pursue?

From the age of six, yes. My mom is also an actress and had to bring me onto a commercial set one day and from that moment on I knew!

At what age did you inform your parents you wanted to act?

Six years old!

How old were you when you had your first audition?

Six again!

What was your first audition like and how did you prepare for it?

I can’t exactly remember what my first audition was like, I know it was for Royal Caribbean, and that I booked it, but that’s all.

Who do you idolize in the acting world? Who’s your favorite actor?

I idolize anybody in Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, or Gilmore Girls. My favorite actor is Eddie Redmayne, mainly for his parts in Les Miserables and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

How did you celebrate booking your first role?

I distinctly remember jumping up and down on my best friends trampoline, mentioned above, in utter joy.

Out of all the casts that you have worked with, who do you still keep in touch with?

I keep in touch with a lot of people from The Walking Dead, I see them often at events that I still go to, and we are great friends with Chandler Riggs‘ parents. I also try to get dinner with Sarah Clarke whenever possible, who plays Eleanor Wish, my mom in Bosch. I love her to death!

Which movie/show are you most proud of being a part of?

Definitely Bosch, because they do such an amazing job of representing what it means to protect and serve. And I’ve always wanted to be a part of a book-to-series adaption!

You’re getting to pursue your dreams at such a young age, how do you find the balance between acting and being a teenager?

It has definitely been harder as of recent! My school is amazing at making sure I get my assignments if I go out of town, but with prom, graduation, graduation parties, and senior trips coming up it’s getting a little rough! I’m also working as a hostess at a restaurant and I’ve recently decided to start learning violin. Why? I have no idea. All I know is that my venti iced coffee from Starbucks is now an essential. Figuring out how to schedule all that has resulted in a little less sleep to say the least!

Have you been on any red carpets? Tell us about those experiences.

My first red carpet event was for season one of The Walking Dead, and it was easily the most overwhelming experience of my life! I have been on more red carpets since then, for a couple films, and for seasons one and two of Bosch.

What was it like being on The Walking Dead?

So much fun, I literally loved it. It was like summer camp, but with zombies.

Who have you been the most starstruck with?

Upon meeting Britt Robertson, who I loved in many of the TV shows and movies she had been in, told me that her boyfriend (the one and only Dylan O’Brien, Stiles Stilinski in Teen Wolf) thought I did really well as Sophia on The Walking Dead. So it was like a double-star struck experience and it was lot to deal with.

Who is someone you go to constantly for advice?

My mom and my sister, or my two best friends from school

For people your age that want to pursue acting like yourself, what advice would you give them?

Fall in love with the process —  meaning going to acting classes and preparing/going to auditions, before you fall in love with what might come of the results! Also, after you go to an audition, forget about it!

What are you currently watching on Netflix?

Nothing, it’s horrific I know, I’ve got too much to do!!!!! *weeps*

What is your everyday go-to beauty product?

Every morning, Too-Faced HangoverX Primer with two drops of rose oil, with or without makeup.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Eating an entire 14oz container of Haagen-Daaz Caramel Cone ice cream and reading an entire book in one night.

What is a quote you live by?

“The best is yet to come”
