This Week’s Tote of the Town!

0

One thing to love about the upcoming Spring season isn’t just the warmer, less-wintery weather. Nope, this year, more than anything (except the tan I will be sporting!) I’m most excited for the unique, inspiring bags that will grace our shopping centers and damage my bank accounts! And trust me: bags are in full bloom this summer, ranging anywhere from bold, bright prints to pastel hues, polka-dots, stripes and even a little floral.

Cross-body messenger-esque bags (say that ten times fast) are also continuing their rise to fame again this year. New to the team this year, structured vintage inspired bags, sporting to die for hardware and optional shoulder straps. Color blocking, as we’re seeing on the runways, is leaking into other industries and I, for one, couldn’t be more excited! Just make sure to [mis]match your other garments accordingly! And like shoes, a girl can never have too many bags. Am I right or…. am I right?

What we’re seeing in style this year is a departure from big, oversized totes that fit just about anything (small animals included) to smaller, more activity-appropriate bags with distinct feminine touches. Browsing two of my favorite sites: ModCloth and ShopRuche, I couldn’t help but ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ at all of the bags listed and though many of them are similar, each has it’s own distinct feature(s) that set it apart.

So when you’re shopping for a new spring bag, keep these distinct, super trendy styles in mind:
