Tomato Taco Recipe

If you love tacos and you love tomatoes this is going to be your new favorite dinner.  These are so easy to make. Plus, they taste amazing, fresh and delicious!

First off get your ingredients together.

You’ll need a bowl for mixing, frying pan for cooking the meat filling and a baking dish.

Ingredients:

  • Tomatoes
  • Taco meat (chicken, beef, veggie crumbles…you decide)
  • Taco seasoning
  • Cheese
  • Toppings (onions, veggies, sour cream, lettuce…again you decide)

Directions:

Cut your down the center up and down. DO NOT SPLIT THEM. Just cut enough of an opening to add your filling.Cook your meat and taco seasoning. Then use a spoon to fill the tomato shells. 

Fill all tomatoes. Set oven for 350°.

Add toppings. I used onions and cheese.

Bake 10 – 15 minutes, until cheese is melted.

Take out of the oven and let sit for a few minutes. They are great this way, but you could also add lettuce, sour cream, etc.
