Spring is just around the corner and I’m so ready to put away my thick sweaters and leggings for awhile. I’m so excited for the change in weather and more importantly not having to carry a big coat around with me wherever I go. I can’t wait for the sun to permanently come out and bring some light into my life. Here are the top 5 ways to enjoy the nice weather this spring.
1. Set Up a Hammock
Spending time in a hammock is a fun and easy way to relax outside when the weather’s nice, not to mention that they’re very inexpensive to buy. In my opinion there’s nothing better than grabbing a good book and a cold drink and going outside to relax in the comfort of a hammock. They also come in many different styles and colors, so you’re guaranteed to find one that’s perfect for you.
2. Go on a Walk
Walks are great because you get to spend time outside while exercising. From strolling around your neighborhood to venturing to a hiking trail, this outdoor exercise can be done whenever and wherever. You can even take your dog with you, or if you don’t have a dog you can invite a friend to accompany you. Even if your walk only lasts for a couple of minutes, you’ll still be burning calories and the combination of sun and exercise will definitely put you in a better mood for the rest of your day.
3. Watch the Sunset
Watching the sunset is another incredibly relaxing thing to do outside during the springtime. It’s so amazing and soothing to just sit outside and watch the sky change to a million different colors. This activity is a great way to end your day and, like going on a walk, this activity can be done from nearly anywhere, as long as you’re outside.
4. Have a Picnic
Having a picnic with some of your close friends or family is a fun way to spend time outdoors with the people you love. If you enjoy baking, you can also spend time making some special sweets for your family and friends at the picnic. Grab a blanket, bug spray, some friends, and some food and you’ll have a great time enjoying the outdoors in a fun and easy way.
5. Ride a Bike
This is another great way to enjoy the nice weather while staying in shape and being active. Riding a bike all day is so much fun, and if you don’t own one, then you can easily rent one instead. This is another activity that you can do with friends, but whatever you do just don’t forget to bring water!
