Weight loss Smoothies?

If your one of those girls who has a sweet tooth for things, but you want so desperately to be healthy and fit, then here’s your solution. A way to ‘have your cake and eat it too’.  Three simple words: weight loss smoothies. Yes, believe it. Smoothies are usually made with tons of ice cream, syrups, and other sweet ingredients, making the calories sky rocket.  But they can be just as tasty without all of that.  Smoothies that aid in weight loss contain tons of nutrition, protein, and vitamins.  You would actually be surprised to see how many smoothies are out there that are helpful in weight loss.  Here are just a few:

Kiwi and Honeydew Smoothie

Both kiwi and honeydew have a sweet taste to them, so it’s not necessary to add all of those sugar ingredients. You simply cut up and add 2 cups of honeydew, 1 granny smith apple, 1 kiwi, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 cup of ice and blend it together. It’s a pretty simple recipe, and if you do really want that extra kick of sugar, feel free to add in a pinch or so.

 

Watermelon Smoothie

Here’s the perfect summertime smoothie.  Watermelon – so juicy and full of flavor. And of course, because it is so low in fat and calories, healthy! For this recipe, you’ll need 6 cups of seedless cut up watermelon, 1 cup of either lemon sherbet or low fat vanilla yogurt, and ice.  Then mix up and enjoy your splendid summer treat!

 

Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie

This one leaves me breathless. Peanut butter and banana? Possibly the best combination, and now, you can drink it together.  Peanut butter contains protein, which is what makes this smoothie good for you.  Try to use this smoothie as a meal replacement. To make this smoothie, you’ll need a half of a banana, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, 1/2 cup of non-fat milk, 1 tablespoon of Chocolate Whey Protein Powder, and some ice.  Blend this all together and it will taste like you are indulging in a peanut butter and banana sandwich.
