5 Reasons to See ‏Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

When I heard that there was going to be a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, I was extremely excited.  I was so incredibly excited to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and it was everything I had hoped it would be.  Johnny Depp reprises his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, alongside Orlando Bloom as Will Turner and Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar.  When Will Turner becomes cursed to his ship for eternity, his son, Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites) must find the legendary Trident of Poseidon to break the curse and save his father.

The only problem with this plan is that the map that leads to the trident is one that “no man can read”.  Young astronomer, Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario) claims that she can use the stars to read the map, so she agrees to work with Henry to fulfill her father’s dream of decoding the map.   In need of a ship, Henry then tracks down Captain Jack Sparrow, whose only hope of escaping his nemesis Captain Salazar, lies in finding the trident.  Jack teams up with Carina and Henry to find the Trident and the adventure begins.  Here are 5 reasons to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, in theaters May 26th!

  1. Johnny Depp is Incredible as Jack Sparrow

Johnny Depp never fails to make me laugh when he portrays Captain Jack Sparrow.  This hilarious character is definitely one of my favorite things about the movie franchise and his incredible black eyeliner never ceases to astonish me.  Johnny Depp plays this role with the perfect combination of eccentricity, drunkenness and absurdity, and I could not imagine this amazing movie series without him.

  1. You Can See it in 3D

The swashbuckling action is even more amazing when you see this movie in 3D!  In my opinion, 3D can sometimes make movies a bit cheesy, but this was not the case for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.  The enticing action was highly intensified by the 3D effect and I would recommend that when you see this movie, you see it in 3D.

  1. The Movie Features Amazing Sword Fights and Action Scenes

This wouldn’t be a Pirates of the Caribbean movie if it didn’t include at least a couple of intense sword fights.  The swashbuckling action is so extreme and it plays a huge role in the film, as Jack Sparrow is barely able to escape death brought on by some rival pirates.  This movie is great for those of you who love intense and violent action scenes.

  1. There’s a Love Story Mixed in with All of the Swashbuckling Action

In the midst of all the extreme action in this movie, there’s a romantic love story between two characters.  I loved this movie so much more due to the fact that both action and romance were included in the storyline.  The romance is between two characters that butt heads, so I didn’t expect it at all, and I don’t think you will either.

  1. There are Terribly Creepy Ghost Pirates Created by Amazing Special Effects

The incredible special effects in this movie are so unique and like nothing that I had ever seen before.  The movie included ghost pirates that were horrifying yet realistic and I was obsessed with how creepy they looked.  Not only were special effects used to create ghost pirates, but this film even featured pirate ships that exploded.  This aspect of the movie was so fascinating and I was completely caught off guard by it.
