Gould Hill Orchard – New Hampshire

Gould Hill Orchard has always been a family owned and operated farm. The total makeover of its historic Main Street, helped them be awarded the National Transportation Infrastructure Award and the 2017 Preservation Achievement Award, Concord, and NH. They have new eateries, cultural venues and shops for visiters to enjoy! They also offer a huge variety of apples to choose and taste from. Friday through Sunday from 11 am- 5 pm there’s a Contoocook Cider tasting for visitors to stop by!

Jackson’s Orchard – Kentucky

This family-owned farm is famous for its apple and peach picking, especially during the September and October months. Situated on a 105-acre field, Jackson’s boasts a plethora of different apple types. Throughout autumn, Jackson’s hosts its own “U-Pick Season” where guests can come for different festivals and fill up their bags with apples, at $15 a bag or $2/pound. They feature pumpkin patches and corn mazes, along with a pick-your-own-pumpkin pick-your-own-apple stations. Jackson’s also serves  apple cider (hot or in slushy form) and caramel apples!

Sky Top Orchard – North Carolina

Located in the Flat Rock community in Western North Carolina, offers sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from its perch atop Mount McAlpine. The sprawling orchard produces about 25 different  varieties of apples that visitors can intermix! Many visitors know Sky Top  for its signature apple cider doughnuts. these doughnuts are fried and tossed in cinnamon and sugar and served warm. Kids are able to go from hay rides to feedings the ducks, to visiting the barnyard animals, and much more!

Knowlan Family Farms – Missouri

Hop aboard a tractor and ride out to the orchards at Knowlan Family Farms in Jackson, MO, where you can pick dozens of apples throughout the fall. You can also visit their pumpkin patch or stock up on freshly pressed apple cider in the farm store on your way out. Small and family run, Knowlan Family Farms is comfortable and welcoming farm to visit!

Ecker’s Apple Farm – Wisconsin

Ecker’s Apple Farm is a charming, rustic apple orchard settled amongst the rolling hills of western Wisconsin. They produce a wide variety of apples from trees of twenty cultivars. Ecker’s additionally serves as a vintage and chic style wedding venue and offers outdoor yoga classes. In the spring time there’s mushrooms and summertime blueberries. Solebury Orchards – Pennsylvania

Solebury Orchards is located at the heart of scenic Bucks County, PA and grows apples, peaches, blueberries and other fruits. There’s wagon rides as well as various apple picking! The farmer grows over 35 varieties of apples with an apple season that runs from mid-August through late winter.

The farm has its own cider press. Solebury Orchards cider is sold in the farm market along with their homemade applesauce, cider vinegar and other farm produce and fruit products.

Carter Mountain Orchard – Virgina

Carter Mountain Orchard sits perched on top of a mountain, overlooking the city below. This orchard not only has delicious pick-your-own apples, but also a pumpkin patch, hay rides, melt-in-your-mouth apple cider donuts, and panoramic views of the nearby mountains. Visit on the weekends in the fall to enjoy the Apple Harvest Celebration. For the adults, there’s even a Bold Rock hard cider cellar, serving up bubbly apple beverages created with fruit straight from the orchard, for the ultimate farm-to-glass experience!

Arbor Day Farm – Nebraska

Arbor Day Farm is located on 260 acres in Nebraska City. It is a National Historic Landmark and the birthplace of Arbor Day. Families can go on a Tree Adventure which consists of hiking along trails and climbing a 50-foot-tall tree house. There are also plenty of shopping opportunities to shop! You can take home souvenirs such as signature wines, sweets and snacks, apple cider, coffee and several different clothing items. Folks can also visit the Arbor Lodge State Historical Park, a 52-room mansion surrounded by hundreds of trees, flowers and shrubs.

Twin Star Orchards – New York

Twin Star Orchards in Upstate New York’s Hudson Valley is a great spot for apple picking located less than two hours away from NYC. Apple-A-Day Ratzlaff Ranch – California

Ratzlaff Ranch is an old-school, real working farm that produces Gravenstein, Golden Delicious and Rome apples. Visitors are invited to pick their own Golden Delicious and Rome apples in September and October (Gravensteins availability runs through August). One of the most popular features of this farm is its fresh apple juice, available buy the gallon. Bonus: There’s a wonderful pumpkin patch next door.
