3 Life Lessons I Learned from #LifeOfTheParty

Calling all Melissa McCarthy fans!  Life of the Party is now in theaters and it’s absolutely hilarious.  After dropping her daughter Maddie (Molly Gordon) off for her senior year of college, Deanna (Melissa McCarthy) faces the shocking news that her husband of many years wants a divorce.  As she faces the initial shock, Deanna decides to finish something that she started many years ago: her college degree. Much to her Maddie’s dismay, Deanna enrolls in classes at the university that she already attends.  Although Maddie is a little uncomfortable with the idea of going to school with her mom, the two end up strengthening their bond and create lifelong memories together. Deanna faces mean girls, parties and frat boys and discovers herself while embracing the full college experience.  Here are 3 life lessons I learned from Life of the Party, in theaters now!

  1. Always Support Your Fellow Women

Life of the Party does a great job of being a female empowerment movie.  It’s all about women building each other up instead of tearing each other down.  This is the perfect movie to see with your best girlfriends because it sets a great example for this generation of women and you’ll surely be cracking up while watching it.

2. It’s Never Too Late to Chase Your Dreams

You might think that your dream of going skydiving or learning how to sing is impossible, but as Deanna proves in Life of the Party it’s never too late to chase your dreams.  It’s your life, so if you want to do something then stop making excuses as to why you can’t.  You’ll be much happier if you achieve your goals.

3. Keep in Touch with Your Mom

This movie made me realize how important my mom is to me.  Even if you haven’t been in contact with your mom in awhile, give her a call just to say hi.  Your mom has been and will always be there for you, so keep in touch with her.

This movie is a must-see comedy for the summer so add it to your list.  Life of the Party is in theaters now!
