Maintaining a healthy, balanced fitness regimen is a super important part of my day to day life. With the spring/summer seasons coming up, I wanted to make sure I was bikini body ready while staying healthy and practicing safe nutrition/fitness regimens.

Recently, I started using sports nutrition products like protein including powders, drinks and bars; energy drinks and gels; hydration drinks and gels and I love it! However, while I love these products, the most important part of nutrition is to protect yourself from harmful (and sometimes even illegal) products containing SARMs or Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARMs).

These can be hard to spot so read below for three tips for maintaining a healthy fitness routine safely.

Continuing a Regular Workout Regimen

Working out regularly is one of the best things I like to do for my body. Not only does it help me maintain a fitness routine but it also just improves me overall mood and energy level. Do you get regularly get bored working out the same way everyday? Try switching up your workouts everyday but assigning different parts of your body to workout for each day of the week. Maintaining a Healthy Diet

Everyone knows that losing weight starts in the kitchen. Staying consistent while also maintaining a healthy balance in your diet can really make a difference in helping you reach your fitness goals. I have found that the healthier I eat before a workout, the easier it is for me to work harder and stay longer at the gym. Get the scoop on some of my favorite healthy recipes here.

Incorporating Sports Nutrition Products

My most helpful tip is to safely incorporate sports nutrition products such as protein including powders, drinks and bars, and energy drinks and gels into your fitness routine. Sports nutrition dietary supplements can play a beneficial role in your workout routine. But dietary supplements are not intended to have the same immediate or dramatic effects that you would expect from taking a drug.

To stay on track with your fitness routine without harming your body, you should avoid using products with SARMs. Recently I have found out that SARMs have been found in a number of adulterated products masquerading as “dietary supplements.” SARMs are unapproved drugs, not dietary supplements and can result in potentially life-threatening consequences. SARMs may be listed on the product label or they may not be listed in the ingredients at all. That’s why it’s important to purchase dietary supplements from companies you know and trust—those that don’t make drug-like claims.

When looking for sports nutrition products, I always check the ingredients, make sure the product is legal and check out the company’s website before I buy a product.
