3 Ways to Fit Fitness Into Your Busy Schedule
We’re all busy. Things that need our attention get put aside for the things we consider more important. If your health is one of those things you’ve been putting off, you might be heading for a fall. While we can neglect some things without consequences, our health isn’t one of them. If you’re worried you’ve been putting health aside for too long, make a change. The good news is, it’s never too late to make health a priority. But, how are you meant to fit it in? Here are a few ideas to ensure your health is in your schedule!
MULTI-TASK
There’s no easy way to say this, but you’re going to have to get used to multitasking. If you want to fit your health in, this may be the only way. We’re talking about multitasking with exercise. Who has time to spend an hour at the gym each day? None of us. But, there’s no reason you can’t do the exercise you want while working. How easy that is depends on what you do for a living. If you have an active job, you’re probably getting all the exercise you need. If you work in an office, it may not be so easy. Making small changes throughout the working day should help you improve your health. Always take the stairs instead of the elevator. Try to run up and down the stairs, and remember to stay safe while you do it! Try, too, to do quick stretches at your desk whenever you get the chance. This is especially important if you sit down for long periods. You don’t want to seize up, after all. Start looking out for exercise opportunities throughout the day.
MAKE THE MOST OF TECHNOLOGY
Technology has made keeping track of our health much easier. Make sure you take advantage of the options available. Not got time to book an appointment with the doctor? No problem. You can make an online doctors appointment instead! You could also download one of many health apps that can help you keep on top of fitness. Even downloading an app that counts your steps will encourage you to be more active! There are even exercise apps out there that can give you workout ideas. Make sure to take advantage of all the help available!
SCHEDULE
It’s important that you schedule in and stay on top of your health. It may seem strange to schedule in your health, but it’s important you do! If you don’t like the idea of working out in the office, see if you can juggle your day to make time for working out. Bear in mind that you don’t need large chunks of time to do this. Even twenty minutes every few days will make a difference. If you can’t find the time, be honest about how you spend your day. Do you waste time in front of the television, or scrolling through your phone? Cut out unnecessary activities to fit in the things that matter!
