Whisper of the Heart is a 1995 Studio Ghibli film with an overarching coming-of-age theme similar to Kiki's Delivery Service but focuses on romance and the drama that comes with high school kids. This Studio Ghibli film is one of the few that wasn't directed by Hayao Miyazaki, but he still contributed his writing based on the manga by Aoi Hiiragi.
