4 Beauty Benefits of Drinking Water

Hold up a second, before you grab that soda or order your favorite happy hour strawberry margarita, check out some of these beauty benefits that will help you glow from head to toe by simply drinking H2O!

1) Glowy Skin

Our faces are the focus points of our bodies, so keeping a clear, smooth and fresh face is always a must. Dehydration contributes to wrinkles, large pores and breakouts but with at least 2 liters a day, water can flush out toxins and increase elastin production to keep your skin flawless and plump.

2) Healthier Hair

We put our tresses through so much stress. Whether we’re blow drying, curling, flat ironing, braiding, twisting or dyeing it. Similar to our skin, hair needs hydration inside and out and without enough H2O, our strands will become dry, brittle and stunt any hair growth goals. If you’ve tried every product from drugstore to high end and your hair is still blah, try increasing your water intake to keep those hair cells thriving.

3) Stronger Nails

Our nails can become brittle and dry also, especially after regular acrylic or nail polish application. But along with every other part of our bodies, our nails will prosper with a balanced diet and drinking tons of water to keep nails and cuticles hydrated.

 4) Cures dry eyes
Audrey Hepburn once said, “The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,” but sometimes it’s hard to feel 100% glamorous when our eyes are dry, puffy and red. If you experience dry eyes, don’t just apply a few eye drops per day, try gulping down more water to ensure your eyes are producing enough tears and are staying moist.

Here are a few tips that can help you drink at least half a gallon per day

    • Carry a water jug or bottle with you everywhere you go
    • Add lemon to make it a little more exciting and increase the benefits
    • Try taking big gulps instead of small sips

Now, it’s time to go get that beauty hydration.
