4 Freeform Shows You So Don’t Want to Miss This Summer

Freeform’s line-up this summer is filled with old favorites, new faves, and returning girl power! Here are 4 shows you need to watch this June on Freeform.

The Bold Type

The Bold Type is back for a second season! It’s been a while since last summer, so here’s a refresher on what happened in the season finale. Jane took the plunge and made a major decision. Kat, after some doubt and wonderful night in an airport, followed her heart. Sutton achieved something incredible and got credit for her hard work (finally!). We also learned a heartbreaking secret about Jacqueline Carlyle. Season 2 promises to bring us more of Kat, Sutton, and Jane’s friendship as they kick butt, follow their dreams, and support each other through it all. Haven’t watched season one? Binge-watch it! You won’t be disappointed.

The Bold Type returns with a two-hour premiere on June 12!

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger

If you’ve been enjoying recent Fun Day weekends on Freeform, you’ve definitely caught the peeks at this new Marvel show. Tyrone and Tandy went through something awful when they were kids. The event bonds the two as they grow up and that bond eventually leads to romance. Their relationship is hard work, and it gets even more complicated when Tyrone and Tandy gain superpowers.  Now that Tandy produces daggers of light with her hands and Tyrone cloaks things in darkness there are more serious problems headed their way. Good thing their powers work well together! Sounds a little complicated, but you really don’t want to miss Cloak and Dagger’s unbreakable bond this summer.

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger premieres June 7!

MARVEL’S CLOAK & DAGGER – “First Light” – ÒMarvelÕs Cloak & DaggerÓ is the story of Tandy Bowen and Tyrone JohnsonÐ two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another. The only constant in their lives is danger and each other. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to control the power of darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart. The series premieres on Thursday, June 7th with a two-hour premiere starting at 8 PM ET/PT. (Freeform/Alfonso Bresciani)

Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings

Every day, couples say ‘I Do’ at various Disney Parks thanks to Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons. If you ever wondered what one of these weddings looks like you’re in luck! Freeform’s magical docu-series Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings gives viewers a look at the Disney magic. Two samplings of this show premiered last year just in time for summer and the holidays. We’re so excited that the full series is finally here! Hosted by So You Think You Can Dance alum tWitch and his wife Allison, each episode takes us inside real-life weddings of couples at Disney Parks. Say your vows with the season premiere of Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings on June 11!

The Fosters

After five years, the series finale of this beautiful show is upon us. The Fosters gave us the story of the Adams-Fosters, a blended foster family with new additions Callie and Jude. We’ve watched Lena and Stef be amazing moms to Brandon, Jesus, Mariana, Callie, and Jude through their ups and downs and the processes of adopting Jude and finally Callie. It was hard watching the season finale of The Fosters back in March, but it’s going to be even more heartbreaking to watch in June. With everyone graduated, the end picks up where the season finale left off. We’re going to Brandon’s wedding, which is sure to cause drama. At least we get to say goodbye to this family in a three-episode finale!
