In the new movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, my expectations were exceeded with the amount of new twists and turns.
In a world filled with magic and mischief our drought of Harry Potter has finally been filled!
1. Magic, magic and more magic!
The Harry Potter movies made us all want to become wizards and Fantastic Beasts will make you want to pursue your magical fantasies all over again! New characters, talents and spells will draw you in to every scene. If you have been missing the magic of Harry, there’s no need to be troubled anymore, Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, will become your new favorite wizard.
2. New Creatures
With all the new creatures the title Fantastic Beasts does not fall short. Everyone in the theater will feel like Hagrid discovering these new creatures. From small and cute to scary and cruel, every type of creature is exciting to learn about. Newt Scamander takes us through his world of
3. Closer to Home
Set in 1920’s America, Fantastic Beasts gives viewers an at home feeling. As the magic gets closer to home I felt my dreams were coming true. J.K. Rowling is telling us that Americans can have magic now? I was very excited to find this out. Learning about how magic works in America filled my childhood dreams of becoming a wizard!
4. Harry Potter Allusions
Attending this movie with other Harry Potter fanatics was such a great atmosphere. Any time there was a mention of anything from the Harry Potter series audible gasps were heard in the theater. I loved seeing what they incorporated such as mentions to Hogwarts and muggles.
