4 Reasons Why We Love Tom Cruise in #AmericanMade

The new critically acclaimed film, American Made is set to take the box office by storm!  American Made is definitely my new favorite Tom Cruise movie, and I’m sure you’ll all love it too.  Based on an unbelievable true story, TWA pilot, Barry Seal (Tom Cruise) is recruited for a mission by the CIA to fly over South America and take photos from his airplane.  In a surprising turn of events, Seal ends up agreeing to assist Pablo Escobar with his worldwide drug enterprise.  Seal becomes known as “the man who always delivers,” and falls into a whirlwind of bad decisions, that eventually involve the President of the United States.  This was such a unique movie and I cannot believe how entertaining it was.  Here are 4 reasons we love Tom Cruise in American Made, in theaters today!

1. His Acting is Top-Notch

Considering that this movie is based on a true story, it’s incredible how truthfully Cruise plays the role of Barry Seal.  Cruise is able to play a character (that’s mostly just an everyday guy) with such exceptional skill, and I was so surprised at how relatable and lifelike this portrayal was.

2.Tom Cruise Didn’t Have a Stunt Double

Tom Cruise is 55 years old still able to do all of his own stunts.  How amazing is that?  I can’t imagine how this is even possible, but kudos to him for being brave!

3. He is Absolutely Outstanding in Pilot Movie Roles

If we learned anything from Top Gun, it’s that Tom Cruise knows how to look effortlessly cool while flying an airplane.  American Made only reinforced this statement for me, and it’s a universal truth that Tom Cruise can always wow audiences when he plays a pilot.

4. Tom Cruise Makes You Want to Root for the Bad Guy

While smuggling drugs into the United States isn’t morally correct, Tom Cruise makes you want to take his side.  Rooting for the bad guy has never felt so right.

Don’t forget to see all the action firsthand, when American Made hits theaters on September 29th!
