5 Essentials For Your Vacation Wardrobe
This is the time of year that many of us plan our summer vacation. The thought of having some sunshine, whether by the beach or during a city break, is the dream. And really, summer, or at least warmer weather, isn’t that far away when you think about it.
So if you’re planning your summer vacation, then why not plan your summer wardrobe at the same time? Here are some great ideas to make sure that you’ve got everything you need for your wardrobe this summer.
Co-Ords
It wouldn’t be summer without a bit of matchy-matchy, am I right? A cute top with matching shorts looks great for daytime, and can even be good for dressing up with some wedges, to take the look to the evening. The good thing is that you can mix it all up, so they make for the perfect additions to any vacation wardrobe. It is also good news that you can pretty much find this look anywhere. From plus size boutiques to designer stores, as well as at the mall. It is a universal look that does suit pretty much every body type.
All the Denim
I don’t think that denim will ever go out of style. But spring and summer are the perfect times to wear it. It is pretty versatile too, so you can keep it relaxed and casual, or dress things up. Denim shorts and skirts have to be in your essentials for summer. But they skirt doesn’t have to be a straightforward denim mini. It could be a more floaty knee or even maxi length skirt. Pinafores or shortalls are a good idea for summer denim, as well as as a thin denim shirt, tied around the waist. It looks good with some chino shorts and a white tank top So make sure that some denim is on your wish list.
Summer Dress
A summer dress is perfect for sunny days and warm evenings. Depending on how you style it, you can really dress it up or dress it down. You could style it with flat gladiators for a more relaxed style. Then throw over a cardigan and some heels, and you’ve got a day to evening look sorted. Which is what you need when you’re on vacation.
Summer Coat
Unfortunately, we can’t always guarantee the sunshine (or at least dry weather). So having a coat that is light enough to keep you dry, but doesn’t get you too hot is a must. Trench coats are the immediate choice as they are super stylish but really light. Summer is the time to wear bright clothing if ever there was one. So a patterned jacket in bright colors could be a good option. Worn with denim and a white top and you’ll be good to go.
Sunglasses
Now, I don’t think it would be summer without having a pair of shades to throw on. Oversized, aviator, round or multicolored; there are so many options. I like having just one go-to pair, but it doesn’t mean you don’t have to have a few options for your vay-cay!
