5 On The Go Keto Snack Ideas

I don’t know about you, but maintaining school, work, and your social life while trying to be healthy can be a true struggle sometimes. It is hard being healthy when you are surrounded by food that isn’t. So, I am giving you five snacks you can carry in your bag for when you need “Keto on the Go!”

1. Keto Trail Mix

I am a big fan of salty and sweet. And that is exactly what this Keto Trail Mix is. All that is needed for this trail mix is a box of raspberries, blackberries, and then you can add in almonds, cashews, pecans or whatever kind of nut you prefer. You can simply just take your hands and mix it all together so you have a quick salty and sweet Keto treat when you are on the go. The best part about this is you can split it up into smaller containers or bags which makes it even easier to throw it in your bag and head out the door.

2. Cheddar Cheese Crisps

If I could have cheese for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I probably would. I fell in love with these cheddar cheese crisps when I came across them. You can pick some up from the store or you can go ahead and make them at home yourself.

They are super easy and take less than 15 min to prepare. All you need to do is take slices of cheddar cheese and cut them into smaller pieces maybe like 4 squares out of one slice of cheese. Then line them on a baking pan and you bake them for 10 min at 400 degrees. Who needs Cheez-Its’ when you have Cheddar cheese crisps?!

3. Eggs and Bacon

You may be thinking, how are eggs and bacon “Keto on the Go”? But I have good news for you. It totally can be. My favorite thing to do with eggs is to boil them. So, go ahead and boil a whole carton at a time if you want, or use this super easy rapid egg cooker! You can also go ahead and precook your bacon and that way everything is already ready. Running late or needing to head out the door, but wanting a good breakfast? Grab those hard-boiled eggs and some slices of bacon and you are out of the door in no time. You can package this snack up beforehand to make your morning go that much smoother.

4, Turkey and Cheese Roll-ups

This recipe is one that you could do right before you run out the door or ahead of time. All you need to do is take a piece of sliced turkey and wrap it around the piece of string cheese. It is so simple but yet it is so good. You can make four or five and then you have a whole meal! If needed you could even get them in half once you make them to have little snack bites. This snack is easy, and filling so you won’t be hungry right after eating this while you are running around on the go.

5. Pepperoni Chips

These are probably the easiest thing to make. I make them by broiling them on high for 10 min. Super quick and super easy! You can also adjust the time depending on how crispy you want them. These would be a great mix with the Cheddar cheese crisps as well for the perfect keto snack!

The best part about all of these recipes is that once they are made, you are set for the week on snacks! I highly suggest taking a Sunday evening and meal prepping before your week starts and it will make your life so much easier when you are on the go during the week. It is so hard to stick to your diet when you have a million different things to do during the day. When you have these quick snacks packed away in your bag, you never have to worry about going hungry and not having Keto-friendly foods on the go with you.

I also suggest getting some type of on the go Tupperware that will fit in your purse or bag to make snacking a little bit easier. My personal favorite is the stackable snack packs from Target, you can find them here. I love these because first of all, it comes in the cutest little pink color.

Second because they are detachable. So, if you only fill two of the snack packs, you don’t have to bring the whole thing. They are slim and will fit perfectly in any type of bag without getting in the way.

I would highly suggest investing in these or something like these for all your Keto on the go recipes. I promise they are so worth it. They have taken my snacking to a whole new level!
