5 Must Visit Breweries in Missouri

Many of us can agree, there is nothing we enjoy more than a good beer.  Whether it’s the hop of an IPA or the tang from a Sour, relaxing with a cool, refreshing beer is the ultimate way to unwind at the end of a day. With so many different options, it’s hard to know what’s a good beer.

As a Missouri resident, I’ve explored this state from top to bottom and found that our Breweries are some of the best I have ever been to.  We are in no shortage of beer, but I am just as impressed by the unique flavors and the sheer artistry that goes into crafting these fun and innovative brews!  Though it was difficult, I managed to compile a list of my top five must visit breweries in Missouri.

Boulevard Brewing Company 2501 Southwest Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64108

With beautiful views of downtown’s skyline and some of the most delicious seasonal beers (next October, do yourself the favor and try their Funky Pumpkin) Boulevard’s should not be overlooked!

Public House Brewing Company 600 N. Rolla St., Rolla, MO 65401

If you are looking forward to just enjoying the flavor of a great beer, check out Public House.  With a menu mainly composed of session beers and specialty brews, this brewery boasts award winning selections among other delicious options!

4 Hands Brewing Company 1220 S 8th St., St. Louis, MO 63104

4 Hands prides itself on offering a diversified menu with a long list of five year rounds and seasonal beers.  Their lineup is both complex and delicious. Enjoy a tasting from 12pm-10pm Monday-Thursday or from 12pm-12am Friday & Saturday.

Logboat Brewing Co. 504 Fay St., Columbia, MO 65201

With creative illustrations and hilarious names, you already know you’re in for a treat at Logboat’s.  These innovative beers are an interesting and fresh take on what beer should taste like!  With brews like their Mamoot, a full flavored beer with notes of coffee, jam, and chocolate or their seasonal Yeah, Bye Earth, an American IPA with both spicy and fruity flavors, these beers will change the perspective of even the most devout beer skeptics.

Mother’s Brewing Company 215 S. Grant, Springfield, MO

At Mother’s Brewing Company, each beer is crafted with love. Their commitment to their beers and local neighbors is honorable.  Their 115-year-old location reflects their old fashion values with much of the original interiors and decorations remaining.  Aside from the authentic, neighborly feel prevalent inside the brewery, a variety of beers is available sure to satisfy all beer lovers!

Whether your beer consumption is typically limited to a Friday night out or you enjoy sipping on one after a day at the office, these breweries are some of the best Missouri has to offer.  Regardless of where you are in Missouri, there’s an option for you so get out, drink up, and enjoy!
