5 Reasons to see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Since the Jurassic World debut, fans have been waiting for its sequel. Well, it is finally here and we’ve got the scoop on 5 reasons to see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

1. Chris Pratt

Everyones favorite hunk is back, and we even get to see his emotional side. Owen Grady steals every scene he’s in once again with his witty humor and brawn combination. In the movie, we get to see his early training with Blue and the other velociraptors and the emotional connection he makes with them. In addition to this, we see the relationship he builds with a young girl in the film while protecting her from a new predator.

2. The Return of Jeff Goldblum

Jeff Goldblum returns as his original role in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as Dr. Ian Malcolm. Malcolm is appealing to the United States Senate to abandon the dinosaurs on Isla Nublar for a second extinction. Having seen the destruction the dinosaurs caused in Jurassic Park, Dr. Malcolm believes allowing the dinosaurs to die out is nature correcting the mistake of bringing them back.

3. Ties to Jurassic Park

A strength of the movie is its connections with the original Jurassic Park. Mentions of John Hammond’s original park and research are woven throughout the movie as well as the return of Dr. Malcolm. The theme song from the original score is adapted and modified to bring viewers back to the first movie.

4. Animal Rights Activism

The central debate of the movie is between those who believe the dinosaurs should be left on Isla Nublar to die or should be rescued. The movie shows different groups protesting and arguing their side to convince The United States Senate to rule in their favor. The addition of animal rights activism into the plot showed an effort by screenwriters to pique the interest of young activists.
