5 Things I Learned From the Movie Sing
A movie about a bunch of animals singing may seem a bit cheesy at first glance, but the movie Sing wasn’t cheesy at all. I recently saw this movie in theaters and fell in love with it. The basic story consists of an ambitious koala named Buster Moon, voiced by Matthew McConaughey who dreams of being a successful producer.
In a final effort to accomplish his goal, he decides to put on a singing competition in the theater he owns. Throughout the course of this show, there are many obstacles that must be overcome, by Moon and by each of the contestants. Along with the awesome plot of this film, there were many lessons that I learned throughout the movie.
Today I’ll be listing the top 5 life lessons that I learned from Sing, came to theaters December 21st!
1. Don’t Let the Fear of Failure Stop you From Doing the Thing you Love
Sometimes life can be scary. If you really love doing something, then you shouldn’t refrain from doing it just because you’re not sure of how things will turn out. Occasionally, you must be brave because you’ll never be truly happy until you conquer your fears and do the thing you love.
2. Believe in Yourself
It may be difficult to believe in yourself sometimes, but if you don’t, then you’ll never work up the courage to actually try new things. You’ll never know what you’re capable of unless you try.
3. Don’t Let Others Tell you What you Can’t Accomplish
You know yourself better than other people know you. You are the only person who completely understands what you’re capable of. If someone tries to hold you back, don’t let them; prove them wrong by doing the thing they say you can’t.
4. When Life Knocks you Down, you Just Have to get Back Up
Sometimes your life might not be going exactly how you planned, but when things don’t go your way you just have to man up and keep moving forward. If it seems like your life is falling apart, don’t give up; keep trying until you reach your goals.
5. Give Everyone you Meet a Fair Chance
You may not become best friends with every single person you meet, but you’ll never know unless you give them a fair chance. The person that you thought you’d have nothing in common with just might turn out to be your best friend, or in the case of this movie, your singing partner!
There were so many great things about this movie and many more lessons to be learned.
Don’t miss Sing in theaters now!
