5 Things You Must Do At Harry Potter World

Visiting Harry Potter World was a blast and felt like I had stepped into the land of magic and wizards! There are two different worlds you can visit at Harry Potter World at Universal Studios, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade.

Diagon Alley is the cobblestoned alley in London, full of wizardry and shopping. Diagon Alley is full of fun things to do such as the Escape Room: Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts, and dining at the Leaky Cauldron. Travel through King’s Cross Station and climb aboard the train ride to the countryside, where you never know who or what you might spot.

Hogsmeade, located right below the castle of Hogwarts, where you can visit Hagrid’s hut, dine at the Three Broomsticks and shop for sweet treats at Honeydukes candy parlor. Wandering through the halls and classrooms of Hogwarts made me feel like I was actually in the movie! You can even ride the Forbidden Journey ride and enjoy the light show at Hogwarts Castle.

With so many great places to explore in Harry Potter World, we almost didn’t have enough time to see everything! Here is a list of some of my favorite things to do in Harry Potter World, that you can check off your bucket list!

#1 Try a Butterbeer

When visiting Diagon Alley, make sure to head on over to the Hopping Pot and enjoy a delicious glass of Butterbeer or other fantastic drinks! Also, try their Butterbeer ice cream to help cool down on a hot day. Other drinks include Tongue Tying Lemon Squash, Otter’s Fizzy Orange Juice, Peachtree Fizzing Tea, Fishy Green Ale, Wizard’s Brew, and Dragon Scale Beers!

I was slightly curious about if I would actually like the taste of Butterbeer, but once I tried it I was so glad I was! The Hopping Pot is definitely a must-do.

#2 Buy Your Own Wand

I don’t know about you, but ever since I first watched Harry Potter I have always wanted to have my very own wand, and now I can! Stop by Wands by Gregorovitch in Diagon Alley to pick out your very own interactive wand!

They have so many different wands to choose from, getting a your very own wizard wand should be at the top of your bucket list!

#3 Ride the Forbidden Journey Roller Coaster

If you’re feeling adventurous, I highly recommend swinging by the Forbidden Journey Ride. This ride brings you face-to-face with a variety of magical creatures. This ride has been called one of kind thrill, there’s nothing else like it. 10/10 would recommend the Forbidden Journey.

#4 Honeydukes Candy Shop

Designed to look exactly like Honeydukes candy shop in the movies, critics and customers have raved about this candy store! Calling it “magically delicious” because of the amazing flavors and intricate designs!

One of the most popular sweets from Honeydukes is Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, a surprise with every bite! You never know if your next bite will be a tasty marshmallow flavored bean or an Earthworm flavored bean!

Honeydukes is a must-see shop in the magical park for when you’re in need of a sugar fix!

#5 Visit Hogwarts

One of my favorite parts of the park was strolling the halls of Hogwarts! From talking paintings to a gorgeous greenhouse and even the cloak of invisibility, the incredible attention to detail makes you feel like you’re right alongside Harry, Hermione, and Ron!

Also, to make your experience extra magical, you can get in the Harry Potter spirit before you get to the park! Putting on makeup with wand makeup brushes, drinking out of adorable glasses for your house, and everyone wearing matching bracelets is such a cute and fun idea!

Harry Potter World at Universal Studios is such a fun experience for all ages! I can’t wait to go back to visit this magical park!
