Tips for Women Just Starting to Exercise

First, starting out a new workout routine can feel daunting, but you got this! Here are some additional tips for working out.

Schedule when you’re going to work out in advance. Picking a consistent time of the day, such as early in the morning or after work, will help cement the habit.

Sketch and warm up before you start. This relaxes your muscles, prevents injuries, and will make your exercises more productive. In addition, sketch at the end of your workout to calm your body.

Know your physical limits. While you should strive to push yourself so that you can grow, overexercising will hurt your body, your mental health, and your motivation.

If you have an intense area of pain after an exercise, you may have strained a muscle or injured yourself. Consider consulting a doctor if the pain persists.

Drink lots of water!
