7 Things We Noticed in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War Trailer

The trailer for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War gave us chills! Between the theme music from the first Avengers film to the voice-overs and the battle scenes, we can’t wait! It’s safe to say this one is going to be a summer smash. There’s 7 things we couldn’t help but notice in the trailer.

#1: All the heroes! Except one…

Avengers: Infinity War includes everyone from the last three phases. We’re looking at T’Challa/Black Panther, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter Parker/Spiderman, Scott Lang/Ant-Man, and Doctor Strange from Phase 3. We also get our favorites from Phases 1 and 2, including

  • Tony Stark/Iron Man
  • Thor
  • Loki
  • Bruce Banner/Hulk
  • Steve Rogers/Captain America
  • Natasha Romanoff/ Black Widow
  • Sam Wilson/ Falcon
  • Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier
  • Wanda Maximoff/ Scarlett Witch
  • Vision/JARVIS

Hawkeye is the only Avenger missing in the trailer. Wherever he is, hopefully he’s keeping that family of his safe.

#2: The return of Loki’s Scepter

Remember that scepter Loki carried throughout The Avengers? It’s back! We see Vision pinned to the ground by the pointy end of the staff.

Which brings us to our next point…

#3: Thanos has two of the Infinity Stones, and someone appears to take one from Vision

There are six Infinity Stones. These stones act as major aspects of power within the MCU and appear in nearly every movie. In the trailer, Thanos closes his fist showcasing two stones on his knuckles. Vision has the Mind Stone on his forehead; it’s pretty much how JARVIS was able to go from Tony Stark brand Siri to full-fledged human. We see someone using that scepter to remove that stone. That would make Vision’s stone either number two or number three in Thanos’ collection.

#4: Steve may still be hiding out with T’Challa

Good to see that Steve and T’Challa are still bros. The trailer shows T’Challa instructing someone to “Evacuate the city, engage all defenses, and get this man a shield.” He points and the trailer jumps to a scene where Steve comes out of the shadows. We already know that Captain America is with T’Challa, and has been since Captain America: Civil War. If he’s somewhere where Wanda Maximoff can see him, it’s likely that he leaves Wakanda during Infinity War to help the Avengers back home.

#5: New looks all around!

Steve Rogers has longer hair and facial hair. Yes, Captain America has a beard! We see Natasha with blonde hair. If you haven’t seen Thor: Ragnarok, you’ll be surprised by the God of Thunder’s appearance. and we’re not talking about his hair. Vision appears next to Wanda looking much more human than when we saw him in Captain America: Civil War. The trailer shows him without pinkish-red skin and with hair. Either he found a way to appear more human, or Tony provided him with significant upgrades.

#6: Tony Stark is so not okay

Let’s be honest, Tony hasn’t been okay since Iron Man 2. Tony in the Avengers: Infinity War trailer seems even worse off. The man who started it all is the first person we see. Tony appears seriously distraught. Like, borderline shook. We see him knocked around by Thanos. We see a continuation of the first scene, and something is seriously wrong. Perhaps it’s in response to someone’s loss? After all, a hero definitely dies in this film.

#7: Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy finally meet

Both Thor and the Guardians are located in space. They had to cross paths sometime right? Thor comes face-to-face with Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Racoon, Drax, Groot, and Mantis in the trailer. Not surprisingly, he’s beyond confused. Seeing Thor’s newest allies aka The Revengers working with the Guardians of the Galaxy is going to be awesome!
