4. Main Event
More in the mood for bowling (and more)? Main Event has got you covered! With a full sized bowling alley and full service restaurant and bar, Main Event is perfect for a fun night out. There’s even more to do at this playground, too! They have an arcade with plenty of classics, and even a laser tag arena. There’s three locations around the Kansas City area, one up north, one by Olathe, and one in Independence.

5. Pinot’s Palette
This one’s for the “big kids” that want a throwback to 1st grade art class. Pinot’s Palette is a wine tasting and painting class all in one location! The subjects of the paintings are always different, so there’ll never be a piece of art like yours. The classes are taught by local Kansas City artists and are super fun! 6. Cinetopia / Vinotopia
This movie theater has quite the twist! Sure, it’s already perfect. What’s there not to like about the movies? Well at Cinetopia in Overland Park, a full service restaurant and bar is located right upstairs! Cinetopia and Vinotopia are the perfect place for dinner and a movie, minus the drive time between.

7. Screenland Armour Theater
Located in North Kansas City, Armour Theater is another popular movie theater but with more of a vintage, homey experience. There’s a bar that offers the classic movie theater delicacies along with some late night snacks (their grilled cheese is AMAZING). And did I mention they have truly vintage arcade games you can play while you wait for the previous show to get out? What isn’t there to love about this Kansas City favorite?

8. Hamburger Mary’s
This one’s a bit… quirkier. Hamburger Mary’s is the hottest place to go to get involved in the Kansas City drag queen scene! This hamburger joint has tons of events perfect for a night full of good food and giggles. On the weekends they have dining with the divas, which is just live comedic performances by Kansas City’ biggest and upcoming drag queens. There’s also HamBINGO nights on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays where the proceeds from the night go to local charities.
