8 Reasons They Need to Bring Back The Office

If you’re reading this, you’re probably the type of person that has seen The Office at least a million times and can quote each episode line by line.

The Office was truly one of the most creative, iconic, and beautiful shows that NBC ever created. Rumors have been circulating that they are gearing up to bring the show back. Here are just a few reasons why The Office deserves a second chance:

The Office NBC

1) Jim and Pam

It’s like Kevin Malone said, they’re like PB&J. They go together better than anything which is why we deserve to know what happened to them. The last we heard, Pam put their house on the market in order to let Jim pursue his dreams. Are they doing ok? Are they still in couples counseling? How are CiCi and Phillip? These are all questions we need to know the answers to.

It would also be interesting to see if Jim and Pam still interact with their fellow Dunder Mifflin employees, especially with Dwight since he admitted that Pam was his best friend after getting a concussion. We deserve to know how they are doing in Austin because they are the dream couple and have to know that they’re not fighting anymore.

2) Ryan’s Baby

In the finale, we learn that Kelly has found herself a handsome and successful doctor but it doesn’t take long for Ryan to ruin yet another stable relationship Kelly has found. Kelly is shocked and impressed to learn that Ryan is a father to a baby boy named Drake. Once Ryan rekindles his love for Kelly, they ditch his baby with the doctor and run off into the sunset. At the same time, Nelly had been trying desperately to adopt a child. However, she had no such luck until she laid eyes on Drake. The last thing we heard her say was “If Ryan wants his baby back, please tell him where to find me. We’ll be somewhere in Europe.”

So, as ridiculous as it sounds, we are certainly curious to see if Ryan ever wanted Drake back. Or, if he’s actually still with Kelly or ditched her again to go on another excursion. Either way, Drake is better off with Nelly. We’d love to know baby Drake’s fate.

3) Michael and Holly

Michael and Holly were the cheesiest yet sweetest couple on the show. It was a bittersweet moment on The Office when Michael decided to move to Boulder to so that Holly could be closer to her parents. We don’t get to see him again until the season finale when he surprises Dwight at his wedding. In this episode, we learn that Michael has kids but not much else is said about him.

Although Carrell probably wouldn’t come back to the show, it would be great to see a few cameos or references to him to see how he’s doing. Heck, we’d even take a phone call or a few measly videos. The fact is, we saw Michael go through a lot of turmoil through the years between Jan, Carol, Donna, and Pam’s mom. It would be nice to see him finally living out his dreams of being a husband and a father.

4) Erin’s Love Triangle

Where Erin last left off, she was dating Plop. She had dumped Andy after pretty much neglected Erin for months on end. However, when times were good, they were good (minus the whole 12 days of Christmas incident.) It wouldn’t be that far off to guess that Erin could end back up with Andy and dump Plop. They always seemed like a strange couple but somehow they made it work. However, the timing for Erin and Andy always seemed off. When Erin wanted to get back with Andy, he’d started a serious relationship. Eventually, though, they found they way back to one another. Plop could be yet another obstacle standing in their way of true love and we deserve to know who Erin ends up with!

Also, throughout the series Erin is on the hunt for her birthmother. For a while, we think it may be Phyllis because she gave up a baby up for adoption that was around Erin’s age. Later on we found out that she is not Erin’s birth mother. We’d love to share the joy with Erin after she finds her birthmother.

5) Creed’s Mystery

Let’s face it, Creed was a loved character that we didn’t get to see much of. When he did make an appearance, he said and did some pretty strange stuff. There are still so many unanswered questions about his character. He may have been a potential killer, drug dealer, or a combination of both.

We are still curious as to what he had sold Kelly when she was trying to lose weight. He told Kelly it was indeed a tapeworm when it wasn’t. We also want to know why Creed ran out of the office so quickly when the employees were playing a murder mystery game and Michael said “there’s been a murder and you are a suspect.” What is Creed hiding? We’d also like to know why his foot only has four toes. Why does he want to scuba so badly? So, so many unanswered questions that we deserve the answers to.

6) Dwight

Dwight by far was the most diligent and hardworking employee that Dunder Mifflin could ever ask for. He even went as far as stealing the leads from Staples when he returned to work for Michael. His dreams come true in Season 7, episode 24 when he becomes regional manager at Dunder Mifflin. However, his reign of terror doesn’t last long as he accidentally shoots off his gun and accidentally shoots Andy near his ear. Of course Jo finds out and he is released from the position.

Later on, he was given a second chance. Will Dwight remain  regional manager for the rest of his life or did he screw it up again? Also, how is his relationship with Angela and did they have more children other than Phillip. We are also curious to hear more about his super strange family and want to know if Mose is doing better.

7) Toby is the Worst

Do Michael and Toby ever clear the air? We never really truly understood why Michael hated Toby and we’d love to know the reason. To us, he seemed like a pretty like-able guy. He was even apart of the exclusive Finer Things Club.

Before Michael’s departure, we learn that Toby has a brother named Rory Flenderson who also lives in Boulder, CO. Toby offers that he and Michael meet up and chat. We’d like to know if Toby ever pressured Rory to give Michael a call or visit him. It would be pretty hilarious to see how that went down. Would he hate Rory as much as Toby?

Also, is Toby finally happy? It seemed as though his divorce was always thrown in his face at work by Michael and he couldn’t even go on vacation in Costa Rica without getting severely injured. Plus, he was clearly in love with Pam. Did he finally find happiness?

8) The Scranton Strangler

The Scranton Strangler was mentioned throughout the series by many of the characters. There have been several claims by fans and characters alike that the real Scranton Strangler was still on the run. In fact, Toby, who was on the jury duty for the strangler’s case, was convinced that George Howard Skub was innocent after rethinking his decision.

Later on in the series, Toby visits the strangler in jail only to get strangled by the man behind bars. However, some believe that this is still a decoy and that Creed was actually the murderer. It would explain why he ran away so quickly during the murder mystery game.

In another strange plot twist, some people actually believe that Toby was the strangler himself and used Skub as a decoy in order to not get caught. It would explain why he missed “The Viewing Party” where they watch the officers chasing after the strangler. It could explain why Toby never made it to the party because he was actually running away from the cops. Also, in the car chase a green car is seen speeding through the road. That same car was seen in the parking lot of Dunder Mifflin on a few occasions.

If one of these theories is true, we must know who the real strangler was.
