Boenker Hill Vineyard and Winery

Boenker Hill began as a farm in the 1800s that produced apples, peaches, apricots, and grapes. After the passing of Ed Boenker, his son turned the 12 acres into a working vineyard.

This winery, located in Bridgeton Missouri, features a “wines of Missouri” tasting room as well as occasional live music events to attend. In addition to these features, the grounds also include a butterfly garden and a two-state hilltop view.

Chandler Hill Vineyards

Chandler Hill, located in Defiance Missouri, prides itself on being a Tuscan-inspired winery with a Napa twist and Missouri soul. Persimmon Ridge Vineyards

This small winery and vineyard in Barnhart Missouri welcomes you to bring a picnic and sample from their 8 different wines. While there are no pets allowed, children are welcome under a parent’s watchful eye.  Persimmon Ridge is also a great place to host a wedding. They have beautiful backdrops that make pictures easy and timeless.

Defiance Ridge Vineyards

This gorgeous and expansive winery is located in the rolling hills of Historic Missouri Wine Country. The wine is not the only thing to experience at this vineyard. The 42 acre property contains a lush garden and and peaceful lake scene. The Missouri River Valley is also visible year round from their expansive terraces and veranda.

The location of this vineyard makes it easy to be your first or last stop on your tour of the Missouri Wine Country because it is just off of Highway 94.

Sugar Creek Winery

Sugar Creek Winery is located about 12 miles southwest of Highway 40 down Highway 94. The trip will take you through the Lewis and Clark trail and arrive at the winery located on the Katy Trail. Bikers and hikers are welcome as well as children of all ages. While there are no pets allowed, you can bring all your friends as there is plenty of space for buses to park at the hilltop winery.  They’re selection of wines from dry to sweet are sure to appeal to everyone in your party.

Montelle Winery

Branded “Missouri’s most scenic winery”,  Montelle winery is the first winery in Missouri that also contains a distillery where they produce four kinds of brandy. Try from their apple, peach, cherry or grape flavored  brandy.

Augusta Winery

Augusta Winery is located in the first U.S. Wine District or Viticultural area because of its unique soil, climate, historical significance and quality of wines produced from grapes grown in vineyards since the 1800s. Their staff is trained to know not only their wines, but the wines of the world as well.  Augusta Winery has a unique building called the Owl’s Nest, where they teach a variety of wine courses. Balducci Vineyards

Balducci Vineyards began in 1946 after the conclusion of World War II by Louis P. Balducci. Louis worked in California vineyards prior to starting Balducci vineyards in Missouri. Quickly following the opening of the vineyards, Balducci was a notable and respected wine specialist in the Midwest.

Balducci Vineyards located in the August area has 11 different wines for your tasting ranging from sweet to dry. To accompany their wine, they also offer an assortment of food, craft beers, live music and bocce ball.
